Do You Know Your Organizations?: SSHP

      The Student Society of Health-system Pharmacy (SSHP) seeks to educate pharmacy students on the future of clinical pharmacy practice and the role that health-system pharmacists play as vital healthcare experts. The Society fosters professional and personal development, provides a strong network of pharmacy leadership, and promotes membership in both the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the New York State Council of Health-System Pharmacists (NYSCHP). The society also hopes to advance student awareness and understanding of the scope of clinical pharmacy practice.  It is the only student society officially recognized by ASHP. 

Some of our events include the Annual Pharmacy Residency & Fellowship Showcase, Annual ASHP Clinical Skills Competition, Professional Pharmacy Speed-Dating (features faculty, pharmacy residents, and non-faculty pharmacists and provides a networking environment for students to learn about the backgrounds and career paths of the professionals), CV Workshop, and PhORCAS (for the Midyear Meeting)
